Jamie, 8 years, was diagnosed with EoE 2 years ago. She’s on an extremely limited diet and supplements with a special formula. This Halloween, we went to a carnival and did a treats in the streets event. For both events, she decided not to carry a bag and “trick or treat””because she isn’t able to eat any of the typical Halloween candy. Instead, she just walked with friends and looked at all of the other costumes. I carried her two safe candies, dum dum suckers and an Enjoy Life allergy free Chocolate bar, with us so she could at least join in on some of the snacking.
