H.R. 3783 was introduced back in the 117th Congress (2021–2022). Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler left Congress in January 2023. In subsequent Congressional sessions, the bill was reintroduced under updated numbers (such as H.R. 6892 in the 118th Congress, and H.R. 5684 / S. 3304 as the Medical Foods and Formulas Access Act in the 119th Congress).
